'A Plan of the Field of Battle that was fought on the 10th of Iune 1719 at the Pass of Glenshiells in Kintail North Britain with ye Disposition of his Majty's Forces under ye Command of Majr. Genl. Wightman, & of those of ye Rebels. Survey'd and Drawn by Lieut. Jno. Bastide', [1719?]. 'A Scale of 800 Feet' at 800 feet to 39 inches [approx. 1:2461]. 512 mm. x 688 mm. (492 mm. x 562 mm. excluding key and margins). Title and scale bar cartouches at top and bottom. Compass rose; north at top. Ink and wash with some coloured inks and washes. Shows Glen Shiel in vicinity of 'Mount [sic] Skururan'. Heights shown in plan at centre of map and in perspective at top of map. Troop emplacements and movements indicated diagrammatically, the fleeing Highlanders and Spaniards and Maj.-Gen. Wightman (on horseback) shown pictorially. Main movements indicated by red dotted lines; detailed manoeuvres annotated with numbers (for British troops) and letters (for the Spaniards and Highlanders), explained in key on right. River Shiel, streams, woods and tracks also indicated. Annotated (bottom right) 'NO 4', and (verso) '27' and, by Coxe, 'Pass of Kintail in 1715' (sic).
