ff. i + 209. 374 x 245mm. Army notebook ‘124’ with a hard cream cover. There is ‘Specimen I’ written on the front in pencil.
Notebook is dedicated to patients with war wounds. Information about the patients includes their surname, ward, date of admittance, treatment and its outcome. In some cases there are diagrams of the wounds. From f. 129v onwards pieces of either handwritten or typewritten information about the patients have been stuck into the notebook. Certain patient’s clinical charts and reports from x-rays are loose in the notebook.
Many of the patients have numbers, this may be related to the war or they have been given them by Fleming. This may link to experiments carried out at a later date.
