A Collection of Readings on several Statutes : written in old Court Hand, in the early part of the Sixteenth Century. Folio; on paper.
At, the beginning, in a hand. considerably more modern than the text of the MS. is this Title. " Un profitable Livre de divers tres audites Lectures faites sur severale Statutes." It contains about thirty Readings, of which some are of the Reigns of K. Henry VII. and K. Henry VIII. and some of a still earlier date. To some of them the Reader's Name is added, and amongst those named are Pygott, Frowyck, Grevile, Keeble, Mallet, Marrow, and Conyngsby, and also Mr. Audeley, who was afterwards Lord Audeley, and died Lord Chancellor of England in the 25th Hen. VIII. and whose Reading seems to conclude the Volume.
