" The ffirst Part conteyneth (verbatim) Divers Acts of Common Councell as were made and established during the severall Maioralties of Sir Rowland Hill, Sir Andrew Judd, Sir Richard Dobbs, Sir George Barns, Sir Thomas White, Sir John Lyon, Sir William Garrard, Sir Thomas Offley, Sir Thomas Curtys, Sir Thomas Leigh, Sir William Hewett, Sir William Chester, Sir John White, and Sir Richard Mallory Knights, Lord Mayors of the Citie of London. With An Abridgment of all matters whatsoever as passed or were treated of in the Common Councells of the same City from the eleaventh Day of July Anno tertio Regni Regis Edwardi Sexti until the seveneth Day of June Anno tertio Regni Reginæ Elizabethæ. Together also with an Alphabeticall Table conteyning the materiall matters handled in the ffirst Part of this Book for the ease of such as are desirous to find speedily any thing therein contained." fol. 1. [The Table goes no further than the Letter K.] " The Second Part conteyneth Divers materiall Orders and Ordinances made and established only by the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen from the ninth Day of May Anno tertio Regni Regis Edwardi Sexti untill the 6th Day of May Anno quinto Regni Reginæ Elizabethæ. " Whereof some are written verbatim as may appear by a Note in the margent, and others are only abridged; together also with an Alphabeticall Table of all the materiall things contained in this Second Part." fol. 138.
