ENGLISH LITERARY HISTORY: Photographs of seventeen letters from John Donne, the poet, 2 Feb. 1602-22 June 1629, together with a letter from Christopher Bruke, 25 Feb. 1601, and a copy of the decree of the Ecclesiastical Court of Canterbury, 27 April 1602, relating to Donne's marriage. The MSS. were formerly the property of the More-Molyneux family at Loseley Park, co. Surrey (see Hist. MSS. Comm., 7th Report, App., pp. 659, 660, 670, 671, 673, 676) and are now in the Folger Shakespeare Memorial Library, Washington, D.C. Letters 1-6, 8, 9, 13, 16 were first printed by A. J. Kempe, The Loseley MSS., 1835. Presented by Dr Joseph Quincy Adams, Director of the Folger Shakespeare Memorial Library.
