FRENCH ILLUMINATION: Twenty photographs of miniatures in a Book of Hours, executed probably in the atelier of Paul de Limbourg, early 15th century, and formerly in the possession of James A. de Rothschild, Esq., M.P., D.C.M . ( Sotheby, sale-cat., 13 Oct. 1942, lot 117 ), and later belonging to Count Antoine Seilern. The following is a list of the miniatures photographed:-

F. 34 b: The Nativity. F. 138 b: The Crucifixion. F. 38 b: The Angels appearing to the Shepherds. F. 142 b: The Descent from the Cross. F. 53 b: The Coronation of the Virgin. F. 146 b: The Entombment.
