(gg) Facsimiles (2) Of portraits of (1) John Pell, D.D., F.R.S. (b. 1611, d. 1685), attributed to Kneller and acquired in 1934 by Robert T. Pell, of the American Legation in Paris, from the family of Reginolles (the family of Dr Pell's wife), and (2) John Pell (b. 1643, d. 1700), son ofthe preceding, 2nd lord of the manor of Pelham, New York. With a rotograph of a letter (in the possession of Mr Otto Hufeland, of New York) from William, 2nd Baron Brereton of Leighlin, to Governor John Winthrop of Connecticut introducing John Pell, junior; 23 June 1670. Winthrop's acknowledgement of this letter is Add. MS. 4279, f. 313. ff. 142-145. Presented by Howland Pell, Esq.
