1. Proceedings in connection with the suit of John [Bancroft], Bishop of Oxford, to recover a debt from Sir Edward Heron; 1633. f. 3.
2. " The argument of Sir Francis Bacon, knight, the kings Attorney- General, in the kings case de Rege inconsulto, between Brownlowe and Mitchell "; [1616]. f. 15.
3. Treatises on the origin of ecclesiastical jurisdiction in wills, and on the history of the disposition or administration of intestates' (roods; the first in eight chapters, the second in six. By John Selden, and published in 1683. f. 23.
4. " The substance of the informacion and the manner of the opening of the cause against Sir Henry Yelverton, knight, his Majestys Attorney-Generall, and Robert Heath, Esq., Recorder of the Cittye of London, at the Starre-Chamber, Friday, the 27th of October, 1620." f. 51.
5. Compendium of the proceedings in the suit for nullity of marriage brought by the Countess of Essex against her husband, in 1613, by Dr. Donne [i.e. Sir Samuel Dun, D.C.L., one of the Commissioners for hearing the case]. f. 70.
6. " The estate and degree of a Serjeant-att-Lawe, and how hee is created." f. 78.
7. " A Discourse written by [Charles Blount] the Earle of Deavonshire in defence of his marriage with ye Lady Rich " [the divorced wife of Robert, Lord Rich, aft. Earl of Warwick], 1606. A short note at the beginning is in the hand of J. Anstis, Garter King of' Arms 1718-1745.
8. " An historicall and legall discourse upon a case taken out of the 26 Ass. Pla. 60," by William Fleetwood, Recorder of London [1571-1591]; with dedication to Sir William Cordell, Master of the Rolls [1557-1581], dat. 26 July, 1575. f. 104. These articles were to have been followed by some extracts from a work called " The Academic of the Law, or the third University of England," by W. Grafton, of Clifford's Inn; but the extracts were never copied out. At the other end of the volume, and written iii the reverse direction, are:-
9. A short article, in Latin, entitled " Liber Theoriarum de summo, æterno, incomprehensibili Jehovah, Trino et uno Deo." f. 154b.
10. Two Elegies on the Passion, viz. (a) " The bloodie Sweate," beg. "If Lust (call'd Love) and despair'd Losses doe." f. 152 b ;-and (b) " Judas kiss," beg-. " Zeale, the Spirituall fire, like th' element." f. 150 b. The title of a third elegy is also given, " The Apprehension," but here the MS. breaks off. Paper; ff. 154. xviith cent. Small quarto.
