REPORT of the revenues of Malta and Gozo, with remarks on the trade, laws, etc., of those islands. The writer expresses (f. 12 b) his opinion that it would be advisable for the British Government to cede Minorca rather than Malta. This report must therefore have been written between 5 Sept. 1800 (when the British forces gained possession of Malta) and 27 Mar. 1802 (when Minorca was ceded at the Peace of Amiens). Paper; ff. 13.
