King Edgar grants seven hides (cassati) at Vange, Essex to Ingeram, minister; dated 963, with English bounds (Sawyer, no. 717).
Endorsed with slightly later addition: Ingeram grants the land and charter to Archbishop Dunstan; 963 × 988, ‘+ Ðas boc sealde Ingram mid lande dunstane arcebisceope.’
Also endorsed by the scribe of the charter, ‘+ þis is þara .vii. hida land boc æt fengge. þe eadgar cyning gebocode ingerame. his þegne on ece yrfe.’; and in a 12th-century hand, ‘.latine.’
