Grant by Isabella, widow of Thomas del Hull of Snelston, to Henry of Kniveton, rector of Norbury Church, and Henry Wallour, chaplain, of all the property in Derbyshire and Staffordshire that she inherited following the death of Isabella, who was the wife of John Shale, son and heir of John of Hambury, Derbyshire; given at Snelston [Derbyshire], 5 October 1405.
Endorsed: in a 17th-century hand, ‘Isabell the widow of Thomas / Hull, grante all her lands that / descended to her after the / death of Isabell nuper was wife / of John Shayle, and daughter of and / heir to John of Hanbury / 7. H. 4 1406.’
Affixed with an unidentifiable imperfect seal, oval, brown, with a heraldic shield bearing a chevron between three crescents, with the fragmentary legend, ‘willm… …nmester…’ (see Birch, Catalogue of Seals (1887-1900), III, p. 130).
