GRANT from William Paston, of Paston [co. Norf.], and William Bakton, of Bakton [Bacton, co. Norf.], to William Paston, jun., son of the said William Paston, and John his elder brother, of a rentcharge of twenty marks on their manor of North Walsham [co. Norf.] called Walshames, on three parts of their manor of Felmyngham [Felmingham, co. Norf.] called Brianes, and on several estates, sometime owned by John Baxtere, of Honyng [Honing, co. Norf.], and others [in co. Norf.], in North Walsham, Felmyngham, Antyngham [Antingham], Swafeld [Swafield], Bradfeld [Bradfield], Swanton, Skeyton, Southfeld [Suffield], Colby, Burgh, and Happesburgh [Happisburgh]; to take effect only if William Ascogh, Bishop of Salisbury, Elizabeth, widow of Thomas Scarlet, esq., Edmund Wichyngham and John Coke, "clericus," shall alienate the said manors, etc., to any other person than the said William Paston, jun., and John Paston.
