Acknowledgement by Agnes, widow of Bartholomew le Heyward of Flixton, that she has received as a dowry from Beatrice of Ratlesden, prioress of Flixton, two and a half acres and five roods of land acquired by Bartholomew, with houses and other lands in Flixton, for the term of her life in return for an annual rent. Beatrice appears as prioress in 1263 (see Stowe Ch 294).
