NOTIFICATION Of Robert Burnell, Mayor of Drougheda [Drogheda, cos. Louth and Meath], Ireland, Nicolas Courcy and Robert Flemynge, sheriffs, and the Aldermen, burgesses, etc., of the same town that, at a general congregation held in the Tolsell of Drogheda on Friday before the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, 1569 [20 Jan. 1570], Sir Henry Sydney, K.G., President of the Marches of Wales and Lord Deputy of Ireland, was admitted to the franchise of Drogheda and was made "comburgesse" and alderman and brother of the Staple. Dat. as above. Seals of the Mayor and Commonalty (broken), and of the Staple (fragment only).
