Tynan Archive.

1. Preliminary notes, ideas, research articles, lists of potential authors and early running orders for the revue, a photocopy of an album of work by Clovis Trouille, and a page of notes made for a National Theatre Board Meeting on 9 January 1967 which referred to Oh! Calcutta! and Soldiers; 1967-1968. Partly typewritten.

2. Production notes relating to various New York and London productions; 1968-1971. The documents have been preserved as far as possible in the order in which they were found, although it is clear that the contents have become muddled since Tynan wrote the letters and memoranda in question. This may reflect the use Kathleen Tynan made of the file in writing her husband’s biography. Tynan's notes are quite critical in tone and reflect the marked degree of his dissatisfaction with the production. Typewritten, printed and photocopied.

3. Production notes for the London production both before and after it opened, including lists of new contributors, suggestions for running orders, actors and theatres and script material, lists of expenses and comparisons with the New York show; 1969-1970. Partly typewritten and printed.
