From June to September 1982 the correspondence contains detailed accounts of Redgrove, a member of the hermetic order of Q.B.L.H. forming 'a link on the inner' with Raine and discussion of the cabalistic imagery involved. The letters before and after this discuss publications relating to poetry and philosophy. The volume also includes: an extract from Redgrove's review of Women: Psychology's Puzzle by Joanna Rohrbaugh (1980) and Sexual Secrets: the alchemy of ecstasy by Nik Douglas and Penny Slinger (1979); (accompanying the letter of 17 May 1980); 'The Living Poet' a transcript of radio broadcast[?] written by Redgrove (accompanying the letter of 14 June 1982); an untitled poem by Raine (accompanying the letter from Raine to Redgrove of 23 July 1982; an essay entitled 'Why the Bomb is Real but not True' (accompanying the letter of 25 March 1983) and articles entitled 'Rimbaud My Virgil' and 'Visions and Habitations' (accompanying the letter of 15 Oct. 1991).
