1. Folios containing verses of two poems, one entitled 'The poet refrains from words' (later 'Unneeded names') and the other untitled, beginning 'What does an old woman know of love….?'. Some verses have not been clearly identified with one poem or the other; possibly ff. 1-3r, 4r, 6-9r belong to the poem beginning 'What does an old woman know of love….?' and ff. 3v, 4v-5v to 'The poet refrains from words'.

2. ff. 9v-13r [and 13v and 14v?]. Poem entitled, 'Seen in a glass darkly' or 'Unrequitable love'.

3. ff. 14r-15r (rectos only). Untitled address given at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, introducing Dr. [Seyyed Hossein?] Nasr as speaker.

4. ff. 16-38r (rectos only, with a few additions on the versos). Essay entitled, 'The Vertical Dimension'.

9. ff. 32v-37v. Essay entitled 'The America of the Imagination'.

10. ff. 29v-31v. Review of Wendell Berry's Standing on Earth (Ipswich 1991).
