Signed. f. 61;-(2) François Charles Hugues Laurent Pouqueville, formerly French Consul- General at the court of Ali Pasha, subsequently historian of the war, to the Marquis de Lauriston of the French royal household, seeking an honour; 6 Feb. 1823. French. Minuted by Charles Philippe, Comte d'Artois. Item 9192 in an unidentified French dealer's catalogue (f. 64). ff. 63-64;-(3) Kostas Botsares, Suliote leader, to his superior, General Sir Richard Church, describing his movements in the war; Kalamos, 25 Oct. 1827. Greek. Followed (ff. 66-67) by a typewritten Greek transcript. Other letters of his to Church are in Add. MSS. 36545, f. 105, and 36547, ff. 39, 41, 43, 87, 100. Item 8 in an unidentified dealer's catalogue (f. 65). ff. 65-67.
