1. ff. 1-27. 'Besardo Suite' no. 1, for orchestra; [1951]. Full score. Based on Besardo's Theasaurus Harmonicus (1603). Composed 1940. Add. 62784 contains a pencil full score, ink condensed wind score (both autograph), and parts (mostly copies, with autograph annotations).
2. ff. 28-32v. Two songs from Goethe's Faust (English translation by Louis Macneice), with piano accompaniment; [1951]. Add. 62835-62836 is an autograph full score of the incidental music to Faust.
3. ff. 33-41v. Two Arne Songs (words, Shakespeare: 'When daisies pied' and 'When icicles hang by the wall'); 1950. Piano scores (ff. 33-35v) and full scores (ff. 36-41).
