MCCRIMMON COLLECTION. Vol. VII (ff. viii+222). Album of letters from prominent people, addressed chiefly to Sir Antonio Panizzi, Principal Librarian of the British Museum 1856-1866, and to Sergeant John Humffreys Parry, his family and associates; 1827-1881. English and Italian. Sergeant Parry was employed in the Department of Printed Books as a young man and the album was probably compiled by a member of his family. Attached is a list of the letters made by Mrs. McCrimmon. Sotheby's, 14 Dec. 1976, lot 168.
