Enclosing a petition to Grenville for a share in the Royal Bounty, signed by the five members of the 'fixed committee' of the Synod. The petition contains the names of the ministers of the Synod and the locations of their congregations.

14. ff. 131-143v. Robert Fulton's petition to Grenville, 'On Submarine Navigation and attack. And the decision of the arbitrators'; 2 Sept. 1806. Autograph. Among the papers are three small ink and colour drawings relating to submarine bombs; one drawing depicts the blowing-up of the brig Dorothea off Walmer Sands. Apparently unpublished. For another twenty different drawings 1810-1811, see F. D. Herbert, Robert Fulton's Original Drawings in Transactions of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (1934). Other Fulton papers are now in the New York Public Library, and Columbia University. Herbert also refers to papers in Birmingham Reference Library and in the Patent Office Library. With the petition is a letter to Fulton from Edmund Cartwright, one of the arbitrators; 29 Aug. 1806.
