2. ff. 80-91. Eleven loose leaves from an official journal and letter-book, etc., of G. R. Weckherlin relating to diplomatic affairs; circa 10 Oct. 1643-5 Dec. 1645, 13/23 Aug. 1646. Imperfect. Partly autograph copies. Partly French and German. The contents mostly relate to transactions with Réné Augier, Walter Strickland and Theodore Haak (for whom see above Add. 72434-72435), and include copies of letters from the Committee. Two leaves smaller in format than the rest comprise (f. 90) copies of letters, in French, 6 Nov. 1644-6 Mar. 1644/5, including three addressed to Louis XIII, and (f. 91) entries, partly duplicate, for 13 June and 3 July 1645 and 13/23 Aug. 1646. This is accompanied by a letter of Dury to Samuel Hartlib presenting the tract for the use of 'the committee which the Parliament hath appointed to take [le Pruvost's] proposalls into consideration'.
