Containing copies in a single clerical hand of the ambassadors' powers, the warrant appointing Sir Joseph Williamson secretary of embassy, their dispatches to Lord Clifford and Charles II in London, correspondence with the Prince of Orange, letters to Sidney Godolphin as envoy to the French court, proposals for terms with the French and the States General and letters from Halifax to Arlington. Inscribed on spine, 'D. Bucks. Arlington, Hallifax 1672' in Trumbull's hand, and on the front cover, 'Correspondence on Foreign Affairs ann: 1672' in a later hand. See also Add. 72574 above.
