1. John Blackwell, 'An Essay, Towards Carrying on the Present warr, Against France, and other Publique Occasions ...'; [1695?]. Fair copy, possibly autograph, with a dedication to Sidney, Lord Godolphin, First Commissioner of the Treasury, signed by the author and dated 12 Aug. 1696. Concerning the payment of the national debt and the recoinage. Formerly Add. 123. 'Printed for the author', 1695 (Wing B.3093).
2. A memorial by Charles Davenant concerning the East India trade, addressed to Sir William Trumbull as Secretary of State by Charles Davenant; 1696. Copy in a clerical hand, with an autograph address to Trumbull at the beginning and Davenant's signature at the end. Formerly Add. 122. For another copy, see Harl. 1223, ff. 158-168. See also the list of Davenant's works by D. Waddell in The Library, 5th ser., XI (1956), p. 209.
3. [Charles Davenant], 'An Essay on Public Vertue ...'; dated on the title-page 13 Oct. 1696. Contemporary copy in the same hand as Add. 89 below. With a dedication to the Duke of Shrewsbury and Sidney, Lord Godolphin. Part 1 only; no part 2 is known. Formerly Add. 124. Another copy is in Harl. 1223, ff. 7-69. See D.
