2. ff. 23-30. Appeal for the Green Room Club, [1956]. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copy, partly printed.
3. ff. 31-73. 'Narration for 38th birthday concert of the R.A.F.', 1956. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. Various draft versions of the narration, to be spoken by Richard Attenborough, and a timed programme.
4. ff. 74-115. 'Introduction to "A companion to Coward"', [1957]. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. Published as 'Noël Coward: an appreciation of his work in the theatre' in R. Mander and J. Mitchenson, Theatrical companion to Noël Coward (1957).
5. ff. 116-185. General introduction, with introductions to the radio productions of 'French without tears', 'The deep blue sea', 'The Winslow boy' and 'While the sun shines', [1957]. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. Recorded on 17 Sept. 1957 and broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation in the following weeks.
6. ff. 186-208. 'How the prince met the showgirl', [1957]. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. An account of the film première of 'The prince and the showgirl'.
7. ff. 209-222. Introduction to 'Variation on a theme' written for the programme for its production at the Theatre Royal, Windsor, 1958. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. With a covering letter from Mary Herring to Vera Rattigan.
8. ff. 223-232. Appeal for King George's Pension Fund for Actors and Actresses, 1960. Partly autograph, partly typewritten. Delivered by Dame Sybil Thorndike and Hayley Mills on British Broadcasting Corporation television on 6 Mar. 1960.
9. ff. 233-244. Brief goodwill message in the programme of F. Duerrenmatt's 'The visit', marking to opening of the Royalty Theatre, 1960. Printed.
