1. ff. 1-13. 'A letter from Aunt Edna', 1963. Partly autograph, partly typewritten copy, partly printed. Article for The Daily Telegraph, 21 June 1963, with a cutting of that article and also of a letter from R. A. Sisson in the issue of 14 June 1963 which led to Rattigan's reply.
2. ff. 14-29. 'A square at the Oval', 1963. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies, partly printed. Article for The Sunday Telegraph, 25 Aug. 1963, on the test match between England and the West Indies, with a cutting of that article, and also text and cutting of a correction published in the issue of 1 Sept. 1963.
3. ff. 30-49. 'Why is entertainment a dirty word?', 1963. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies, partly printed. Article for The Daily Mail, 2 Sept. 1963, with a cutting.
4. ff. 50-147. Preface to The collected plays of Terence Rattigan, vol. 3 (1964), [1964]. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies.
5. ff. 148-168 Two articles written for The Cricketer, 1964. Partly autograph, partly typewritten, including copies. One article is annotated 'Not used, 19-8-64', the other (followed by a fictitious scorecard of a match between England and Australia) was published as 'Wanted for murder' in The Cricketer, vol. 45, no. 3 (28 Aug. 1964), pp. 9-10 and has a copy of a covering letter from Mary Herring to John Reason, editor of The Cricketer.
