K. Letter from Sir William Reid (b.1791, d.1858), Governor of Malta, to The Rt. Hon. Sir G. Seymour (b.1797, d.1880), Her Majesty's Plenipotentiary in Vienna; 4 March 1857. Reid encloses a letter [not present] from a Mr Leonard requesting the good offices of Her Majesty's Embassy in Vienna in assisting him to obtain certain documents from the Austrian authorities. Presented by William Reid C.B.E., F.S.A., 9 March 2001.
