1. Derbyshire: - Note of values of lands of Lord Vaux in and near Chesterfield; [16th cent.?].
2. Dorset: - Manorial records and accounts of wood sales in the manor of Berned in Whitchurch Canonicorum; 1571-1583, n.d. Partly Latin. For the Spencers’ acquisition of this manor, see Finch, op. cit. pp. 50-51.
3. Hertfordshire: - Receipts to Sir John Spencer (d.1586) and Robert, 1st Baron Spencer, for dues to the honour of Berkhampstead; 1580-1616.
4. Leicestershire: - (a) Rental of the manor of Beeby; 16th cent. See Finch, op. cit. pp. 50-51. (b) Bargain and sale by Robert, 1st Baron Spencer, of two meadows in Leicester; 1617. Draft. Imperfect.
5. Kent: Licence to fell wood in Walland Marsh; 1611.
6. London: - Bill of sale of the contents of a house in St. Botolph without Bishopgate; 1581.
7. Nottinghamshire: - (a) Petition and answer in a Chancery suit of William, 2nd Baron Spencer, relating to the manor of Lambley; circa 1621. (b) Proceedings of courts leet and baron at Mattersey; 1605-1633. Mostly Latin. (c) Note of deeds relating to the rectory of Misson from 1695 to 1735; 18th cent. This and the preceding item relate to property acquired as part of the dowry of Esther Acklom, wife of John Charles, 3rd Earl Spencer.
8. Oxfordshire: - (a) Agreement of Sir John Spencer (d.1599) relating to manorial rights in Howbery manor; temp. Eliz. (b) Receipt to Robert, 1st Baron Spencer, for a contribution towards rebuilding the public schools; 1613.
9. Papers relating to unidentified lands; 16th cent.-1643, n.d. Partly fragments. 400 x 310 mm.
