A. ‘The Survaye of the Mannor of Shellingforde in the Countie of Barks wherein is expressed the particular contents of the scite of the said mannor house, coverts, orchards, gardens, and the Parsonage, severall inclosures, meadowes, woode, arrable feilds [sic], Cow pastures, Shire walks, and comons, threunto belonging as they bee now Severed and Devided according to a Plott’; 1624. Notebook containing details of the tenancies of each plot of land on the estate, including field sizes.

No surveyor named. No scale given [approx. 1:5280]. Depicts fields and woods around a sizeable settlement [Shellingford?]. Imperfect. The map has incurred severe damage: the section of the map containing the scale is missing and three large sections of the map itself are missing. Some of the title is illegible.

E. ‘A Survey of Sindesham Mannor In the County of Berks and of several Farms in the County of Oxford, belonging to her Grace the Dowager Dutchess of Marlborough’, by I. P. Desmaretz; 1727. Various scales. Contains maps and plans of Sindesham Manor, and of farms in Goring, Whitechurch, Lodden Bridge, Sindesham, and Cold Norton. Tables are also included to which numbers on each map refer. The tables give details such as the names and sizes of individual parts of the farms, and the tenant’s name. Bound.
