Althorp Papers. Vol. mmdcccxxii. Maps and plans of Nottinghamshire.
A. 'Plan of the House and Gardens at Whistone the seat of Johnatn. Acklom in the County of Nottingham' by Francis Richardson; 1760. Scale: 2 chains to the inch [1:1584]. South at top. Depicts house, gardens, fields, woodlands, and roads and paths. Presentation map with annotations suggesting it was later used as a draft for another version.
Ink and watercolour on paper. 540 x 457mm.
B. 'A survey of the lordship of Whistone showing the house, gardens, plantations etc belonging to Richard Acklom'; [18th cent.?]. Surveyor's name illegible. No scale given [approx. 1:3520]. Detailed plan of fields and woodlands. Roads, a river, and some isolated buildings are marked. Field sizes are given. Draft, possibly prepared on a plane table.
