Note describes the map as "part of the statutory Plan to the Metropolitan Bridges and Ferry Roads Bill of 1881" and refers to "the effect of the Bridge works on adjacent Spencer properties".

Highly detailed map of Putney from the border with Barnes parish at left to the boundary with Wandsworth parish at right. Depicts and names the main roads and certain individual properties such as boathouses, rowing clubs, a church and a chapel, public houses, and the site of Copthall. Large plots of land are marked and their owners names. On the river, piers and causeways are marked, as are the low water mark, Fulham Bridge, and an aqueduct.
