Coleridge Family Papers. Vol. dccxix. Letters, accounts, plans, architectural drawings and watercolours relating to the construction and consecration of the Chapel of St James and St Anne, Alfington; 1846-1882. The volume includes the Sentence of Consecration of the chapel and its burial ground, an architectural drawing of the vicarage possibly by Butterfield, a design for the spire, a watercolour by Hardman-Poole to designs by Pugin of the proposed stained glass window for Alfington church (and modern photographs of the windows in situ), accounts and a letter from William Butterfield to John Taylor Coleridge, and letters from Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin to John Duke Coleridge. The volume also contains an image by A. Gibbs of a window destined for Woodmansterne parish church commissioned by John Duke Coleridge in memory of his maternal grandparents.
