Coleridge Family Papers. Vol. dccl. Letters to John Taylor Coleridge from George Mifflin Wharton of Philadelphia (1808-1870), including a letter of introduction for Horace Binney Jr. and a memorial of Professor Henry Reed, a mutual friend; 1 Dec. 1852 – 25 Apr. 1870. The volume also contains one letter from Wharton's wife thanking John Taylor Coleridge for his condolences upon Wharton's death. It is possible that the letters in this volume may be the stub of a larger collection since in her letter Mrs Wharton allows John Taylor Coleridge to keep the letters but asks for them to be returned to her upon his death, should he predecease her.
