Mackarness & Lunt, relating to the sale of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge notebooks to the British Museum Library; 1937-1951. Includes letters from Richard Duke Coleridge, 4th Baron Coleridge, John Forsdyke, Director and Principal Librarian of the British Museum, and Humphry House, one of a committee interested in assisting the purchase of the papers for the nation. The volume also contains a copy of a letter from Kathleen Coburn to the Keeper of Manuscripts at the British Museum, enclosing photographs of the notebooks.
