Eleanor Farjeon planned a book called ‘A Lost Elizabethan’ about the life and work of Ibbet. Includes [italics]printed[/italics] tourist information booklets in [italics]French[/italics] on ‘Lisieux et ses environs’ and ‘La Touraine et ses châteaux historiques’ with a post-card of the Hôtel de France in Chinon (ff. 91-144), an [italics]autograph[/italics] list of train times and boat connections for ‘Journey Out’ and ‘Journey Back’ (ff. 145-146) and [italics]autograph[/italics] notes on a visit to France (f. 147). Also includes drafts, some with [italics]autograph[/italics] revisions, of short accounts of meals in various towns in France marked ‘for use only if really suitable’ (ff. 148-165). A version of ‘An Omelette in Chinon’ (ff. 148-157) was broadcast on the BBC Light Programme as part of the ‘Woman’s Hour’ on 5 Oct. 1961, and repeated on the BBC Home Service on 26 Nov. 1961, see letter from Stanley Scott, 27 Nov. 1961, Add. 83140.
