From 1931, the ‘Tomfool’ verses appeared in [italics]Reynolds's Illustrated News[/italics]. A selection of Eleanor Farjeon’s ‘Tomfool’ verse was published under the pseudonym as [italics]Moonshine[/italics] (1921).

2. f. 34. ‘December’; [[italics]circa[/italics] 1920s]. Draft of a verse written for ‘The Monthly Calendar’, published in the periodical [italics]Time and Tide[/italics] under the pseudonym ‘Chimaera’.

Both scripts describe experiences at two childhood Christmas parties. The incident of ‘Little Nellie’s Writing Case’ was retold in Anne Harvey, [italics]A Present for Nellie[/italics] (1982).
