French Exercises: translations into French by Charlotte Brontë; 1842?. Autograph fair copies, with revisions and deletions, written on both sides of the sixteen leaves of a quarto notebook. Ruled cream wove paper, without water-mark. The translations, four of prose passages and five of poems, were made at M. and Mme. Héger''s school in Brussels, and have been corrected by M. Héger. Similar exercise books are preserved at the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Ashley Library Catalogue, viii, p. 56.
