2. Letter, imperfect, from Swinburne to the Editor of the Spectator; 25 May 1873. Printed in C. Y. Lang, Swinburne Letters, ii, 1959, pp. 243-244. The text found in the MS. differs by six words from that printed by Lang, which is taken from the Spectator. The MS. breaks off after the words 'to earn the right'. ff. 11-11b.
3. Two letters from Gosse to T. J. Wise; 21 and 29 Sept. 1909, concerning the production of Wise's privately printed pamphlets The Saviour of Society, 1909, and The Worm of Spindlestonheugh, 1909. ff. 12-13, 14.
