'Targum'.
1. 'O Lord! I nothing crave but Thee'; circa 1860. Fair copy, written on both sides of one quarto leaf of white laid paper, and on one side only of another. The leaves are conjoined. Watermark 'Cowan'. The MS. is entitled 'O Lord! I nothing crave but Thee. / From the Tartar.' in Borrow's hand. The text found in the fair copy differs by one line and two words from that printed in the first edition. Bound up with the MS. is part of p. 6 of Dobells' Catalogue [ ], bearing a description of the MS. (f. 62). Attached to the MS. is a scrap of paper containing a note by T. J. Wise 'Betn pp. 10 & 11' (the MS. was formerly inserted between pp. 10 and 11 of Ashley Library No. 2380 in the Department of Printed Books). ff. 61-63.
2. 'My Eighteenth Year'; circa 1860. Fair copy, written on both sides of a quarto leaf of white laid paper. Watermark 'Cowan'. The MS. is entitled 'My Eighteenth Year' in Borrow's hand. The text found in the fair copy differs by one word only from that printed in the first edition. ff. 64, 64b.
