1. Letter from Arundell Esdaile concerning the British Museum's copy of Matthew Prior, Pallas and Venus, 1706; 24 Jan. 1931. f. 54.
2. Two letters from Francis Needham, the earlier describing the Welbeck Abbey copy of Matthew Prior, A New Answer to An Argument against a Standing Army, 1697, and the later chiefly concerning the authorship of Matthew Prior, A Satyr on the modern Translators, 1698, and the mis-attribution by Needham to Prior of some lines printed in the Times Literary Supplement for 10 April 1930; 19 April, 25 June 1930. ff. 55, 56-57.
3. Letter from C. H. Wilkinson commenting on Ashley Library Catalogue, x, of which he had just received a copy from Wise, and stating that Wise's copy of An English Padlock, 1705, as described in Ashley Library Catalogue, x, pp. 164-165, is not unique since he has a copy, as does Worcester College, Oxford; 21 Oct. 1930. ff. 58-59b.
