Two Letters to T. J. Wise concerning the printing of Letters Upon Subjects Of General Interest From John Ruskin, 1892; 1892. [Ashley Library Catalogue, iv, p. 192]. As follows:―
1. Letter from George Allen warning Wise that he had been told that to print Ruskin's letters without permission would be an infringement of copyright, and replying to a query of Wise's as to whether he possessed a copy of Ruskin, The Scythian Guest, 1849 (not knowing that this was one of Wise's forgeries); 21 Sept. 1892. ff. 95, 95b.
