'The Woman who went to Hell': a poem by Dora Sigerson (Mrs Clement Shorter); [1897-1902]. Autograph draft, written in both pen and pencil on both sides of three quarto leaves torn from a diary for 1897 (the days are 8-15 Jan.) and on one side only of a fourth (ff. 1-4). There are numerous drawings in the margins of the pages. The final text found in the draft differs not very greatly from that printed in The Woman who went to Hell, [1902], but stanza 3 as printed is not found. On the verso of the fourth leaf is the draft of an apparently unpublished poem of four stanzas of four lines and one stanza of six lines, entitled 'The Three Dreams' (f. 4b).
