Letter from H. Bayley (of Spalding & Hodge Ltd., paper sellers) to R. W. Chapman, concerning the identification of the watermark found in A. C. Swinburne, An Election, [1879-1880?], a lithographic facsimile of the poet's MS., of which two examples are now Ashley Library No. 4380 in the Department of Printed Books; 19 June 1924. Signed. Chapman has added a note to T. J. Wise. The full watermark is in fact 'Charta Orientalis' under a star within a crescent. [Ashley Library Catalogue, vi, p. 142].
