A selection of medical cases noted in his practice by John Hall, M.D., of Stratford-on-Avon, husband of Susannah, the daughter of Shakspeare; 1629-1636. Autograph. Index at ff 123-129. The case of his wife is entered at f. 10, and his own at f. 76 b. In the latter he states his age at 57 in the year 1632. An English translation was published by Dr. James Cooke with the title: "Select Observations on English Bodies: or Cures both Empericall and Historicall performed on very eminent Persons in desperate Diseases. Printed for John Sherley," 1657, 8vo. Prescriptions, notes of cases, etc., are added in another hand [Dr. Cooke's?] in the latter part of the volume; and, at f. 113 b, some observations on the Hebrew letters. The name of James Cooke is written on the flyleaf. Paper. Small Octavo.
