ACCOMPT-BOOK of personal expenses of Elizabeth, daughter of Sir George Wentworth, who married, in 1671, Sir Edward Peke of Hills Court, Ash, co. Kent; 1655-1664. It afterwards passed into possession of a Kentish farmer, apparently Thomas Minter, of Canterbury, who entered memoranda, from 1696 to 1718, partly in disguised writing formed by placing at the end of each word its initial letter. At f. 108 b is an early notice of the game of cricket; "June ye 23th, 1708, wee beat Ashstreet at Creekits." Paper; ff. 120. Small Octavo.
