Facisimiles of all six are given in the Rev. R. S. Mylne's book as above, between pp. 168, 169. The first three plans name the purpose for which the rooms are designed. The King, in a letter to the Commissioners of the Treasury in Scotland, dated Windsor, 3 June, 1671 (op. cit., p. 169), approved the plans, but gave detailed instructions for alterations, marked in some cases by crosses, etc., on the plans (see nos. 3 and 6). In no. 2 "he will have noe Chappell," but in place "a large vaulted cellars"; in no. 3 the royal apartments as designed are to be thrown into one gallery, now containing the portraits of the Scottish kings: and in no. 6 "he will continue the entrie at this time as now it is," and will "have ane accesse from his new garden into the great Park."
