Partita in E major, op. 100, for organ; '5. Febr. 1924' (f. 14). Autograph. The original dedication to Charles Marie Widor (f. 1) was subsequently deleted and a dedication to Godfrey Sceats substituted, with a note of presentation to him of the manuscript (ibid.); the alteration was presumably made in June 1927 when the autograph was sent by the composer to Sceats (cf. Eg. 3670, ff. 11-12). The present manuscript differs in minor details from the version published by Novello & Co. in 1928 as no. 114 of Original Compositions for the Organ (New Series). The instructions in German (f. l b) for the interpretation of the directions for registration are printed in the Novello edition; see also G. Sceats, The Organ Works of Karg- Elert, 2nd ed., 1950, p. 32. Paper; ff. 14. A.D. 1924.
