Vol. 1. Two arias:-(I) Aria 'Vivrò se vuoi così' from 'Artaserse', Act III, first produced at Turin, 1761. The aria does not occur in the autograph score of the opera (British Library, R. M. 22. a. 18-20) and is omitted in Terry (op. cit., p. 218). However its existence is noted by H. C. Robbins Landon (Terry, op. cit., p. xl). ff. 1-8b;-(2) Recitative 'Mi fà pietade' and aria 'Per darvi alcun pegno' from 'Catone in Utica', Act III, first produced in Naples, 1761. Terry, op. cit., p. 224, no. 21. For another copy of this recitative (a more extended extract) and aria, see Eg. 3688, ff. 6-15, below. ff. 9-32. Paper; ff. i+32. Oblong quarto. XVIII cent. On f. i is a modern note in German about the first aria. Inscription on f. 1: 'In Torrino 1761. Sigr: [Gaetano] Guadagni [who played Arbace in the first performance; see original cast at R.M. 22.a.18, f. 1]'.
