F. Two letters to Francis Woodward, solicitor to Robert Sidney, Viscount Lisle, afterwards Earl of Leicester; 1605, 1607. The first, dated 12 March 1605, is from Arthur Crewe, a manager of the Sidney estates, reporting that there is 'no news' from Wotton. The second is from Thomas Adams at Wotton, 3 March 1607, in support of Richard Gowers. Nine further letters from Adams to Woodward are in Add. MS 15914, ff. 47-75 passim. Purchased from J. L. M. Gulley, March 2006.
