Thomas Featherstone Notebooks. Commonplace book with inserts, paste-ins and extra-illustration; 1837-1851[19th cent]. Includes transcripts of poetry and prose by authors other than Featherstone and 30 original poems by Featherstone, some indicated as having been published, and printed cuttings relating to Featherstone’s literary researches and his own appearance in periodicals. Also includes autograph letters from Marguerite, Lady Blessington, Charles Dickens, William Harrison Ainsworth, John Everett Millais, and John, 5th Duke of Rutland, autographs of George Cruikshank and a pen and ink drawing by Millais.
